Rancho Gordo, a small but growing specialty-foods producer, is seeking a reliable and outgoing individual to establish and maintain strong customer relationships and target opportunities for growth in the wholesale (B2B) channel.

We owe much of our success to the support of restaurants and retail stores all over the country that carry our products, and your role is to be a dedicated advocate for these customers within the company. You will also be able to clearly communicate our story and promote our products to a wide range of customers, from chefs to purchasing directors to cheese-shop owners.

Your responsibilities will include:
• Managing wholesale customer relationships for growth and retention
• Developing a strategy for targeting growth opportunities and generating new sales
• Processing wholesale orders that are placed via email, phone, and through our online ordering system
• Updating retail and food service line lists and distributing them internally and to customers
• Maintaining wholesale ordering website and store locator page
• Processing new wholesale account applications
• Working with new accounts on promotions and events, and finding creative ways to increase our brand visibility
• Updating and maintaining a wholesale customer database
• Providing analytics, trend reporting, and associated recommendations on how to increase sales and efficiently manage inventory
• Investigating and resolving any issue on orders or billings with internal departments and customers

Requirements for the role:
• Experience managing customer relationships, preferably in a sales environment
• Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) and time management skills (ability to prioritize and reprioritize in a fast-paced and changing environment)
• Experience with eCommerce platforms and customer relationship management (CRM) software
• Experience generating sales projections and analytics
• Self-starter with strong problem-solving abilities and a passion for growing small businesses
• Interest in food and cooking and/or sustainable agriculture a plus
• Spanish fluency a plus
